Information on Satellites in Orbit
There are over 900 satellites currently orbiting the Earth and each of them have a specific purpose whether it is to provide satellite maps, satellite internet, satellite radio, satellite TV, or something entirely different. It’s amazing how many have been launched in a relatively short time period. Most of them are used for various satellite images, military, and governmental purposes. It is interesting to note though that over 550 of those satellites are used for communications in one form or another (phones, TV, internet, radio, etc.).
